The entire tennis community can’t keep quiet as Caroline Wozniacki is making a return to the women’s circuit after her long hiatus. In 2020, the former tennis ace decided to move away from the court in order to embark on a journey of embracing motherhood. Now, the 32-year-old player is all geared up to make a return this season as she will be participating in the Grand Slam event in New York.

Notably, many of her peers on the WTA Tour are excited about her comeback including her fellow citizen,  Coco Gauff. While reminiscing about some great moments with the former Australian Open champion, Gauff revealed that she has never hung out with her despite living in the same state.

It was the American tennis player who made this surprising revelation during her press conference at the ongoing Eastbourne International. Gauff said, “Yes. I’ve never hung out with her. You know, there is a bit of an age gap for me to hang out with her. (Laughter.) No, I have spoken to her quite a few times off the court, mainly at the tournaments.”

According to the 19-year-old tennis prodigy, the age difference between them may have been the main reason they never went on such casual outings. However, she has always admired the Danish tennis player’s on and off-the-court personality.

Gauff also expressed her admiration for Wozniacki

In the press conference, the American tennis star also reminisced about a conversation with Wozniacki’s dad who once helped her with some coaching advice. Apart from this, Gauff also expressed her adoration for the former tennis ace as she has always been “super sweet” to her during their meetings.
