The holiday season is in full swing. Christmas is almost at hand and the world of tennis is feeling its effect. As the weekend comes around, Serena Williams is celebrating it in her own manner. Williams is in the midst of a day where she will get a new hairstyle for herself. Her excitement made her share her giddiness with her followers. 

She is not the only one who is excited to get a new hairstyle soon. Along with her, the US Open champion, Coco Gauff, who was in the midst of getting the same hairdo as Williams, was also looking forward to it for the entire week. 

Coco Gauff relates to Serena Williams’ mood on hair day

Serena Williams is someone who became a fashion icon during her tennis prime. She is still knee-deep in her love for fashion. One of the ways she expresses it is by trying different hairstyles. She recently shared a post on her ‘X’ page where she talked about her excitement for ‘hair day’.

She wrote, “Today is hair day! I’m  braids. I get so excited for hair day- Sure  it takes hours but it’s worth it. I’ve been waiting all week. I’m in the best mood today. I’m walking telling everyone yassss queen! Can anyone else relate?

Like Williams, another American teenager is on her way to becoming a new tennis fashion icon. The Queen of the Court was not the only one excited about a new hairstyle as Coco Gauff replied to her post with enthusiasm of her own. Getting mine braided rn. I was so excited.”

As she gets her hair braided, Gauff is moving back to an old hairstyle. The previous update we received from her about her hair was when she decided to move on from dreads in the Citi Open.

Gauff moves on from braids

The entirety of the year, Gauff would style her hair in braids and became known for it as well. However, as the tournament in Washington rolled around, she decided to forego the braids and tie up her hair instead. In a post-match presser, she said that she wanted to mix things up and decided to get a new hairstyle instead of braids.

However, she did not plan to stick with it and said that she would wear it tied up till the US Open and would go back to braids after the tournament. The time has finally arrived for her and Gauff has styled her hair in braids and shared the news with the world as well.
