Coco Gauff started the season with a title at the ASB Classic and ended it with another title triumph at the WTA Finals. However, despite these heroics, she was heavily criticized for her performances at the Olympics and the Grand Slam tournaments. The 2023 US Open champion failed to win a major title this year. Can she win one in 2025? Well, after seeing her intense pre-season training sessions, her fans can surely hope for something big in the next year.

In that video clip uploaded by Stephane Dal Soglio, Gauff was seen incorporating exercises like bench presses, reverse crunches, sprinting, and guess what? She even tried her hand at the beach volleyball. The coach captioned that video clip saying, “Pre season part 1! A little sneak peek of pre season pro athlete training. A little bit of fun, and a lot of hard work!! Let’s go get it!! @cocogauff.After seeing this post, Coco Gauff cracked a joke on Stephane Dal Soglio.

She dropped a comment on that post asking, “how long did it take you to make this lollll.” In reply, the coach said, “@cocogauff let’s not talk about that…🐢🤪🐌.” She even shared that post on her IG stories.

Just a week ago, she promised her fans, “Another season in the books, but time doesn’t stop! I’m ready to start gearing up for a strong preseason.” In a different post, she shared a picture of a parked car just inches away from the wall. She then compared the car’s position with her ongoing training struggles by saying, “how close I am to quitting in the middle of every workout so far this preseason, but quitting ain’t cute, so we finish.

Can this hard work put in a favorable result for the American or will she still remain a ‘one slam wonder’ in 2025 as well?

There will be no ASB Classic hat-trick for Coco Gauff, as she has already opted not to defend her title in Auckland next year. She will compete at the United Cup in Australia and then head towards the first Grand Slam tournament of the 2025 season. I’ve never been a person who thinks about the ranking. I only want the Slams, but yes, I know I have this possibility. But honestly, I don’t think about the number 1 of the WTA ranking,” said Gauff, who is currently ranked No. 3, about her next goals.

And according to American tennis legend, Andy Roddick, Coco Gauff’s recent triumph at the WTA Finals will give an enormous boost to her confidence in the 2025 season. “She’s going to sleep a lot better this off-season, and her steps are going to be a little bit lighter when she goes into problem-solving. There’s not as much scar tissue from 2024, she’s almost deleted all of it, and I think she’s prepped for a massive year next year.”

Even Serena Williams’ ex-coach Rick Macci admitted that Coco Gauff “undoubtedly has the potential.” Moreover, during a recent conversation, Andrea Petkovic said, “I am also very excited for Coco Gauff’s 2025 season because I really liked what I saw at the end of the year with the coaching change and the freaking grip change in the middle of the season on her serve!” What are your thoughts?
