It’s a jolly time Down Under! Coco Gauff is spending Christmas Eve with her loved ones in Australia, soaking up the festive atmosphere before competing in the United Cup. From riding amusement park attractions to enjoying a sparkling fireworks show, all the moments she shared had our hearts. Her most recent update today, however, had us reeling. Spoiler alert: it is relatable to all the siblings out there.

The 20-year-old hilariously documented a classic middle-child moment featuring her 16-year-old brother, Codey, on her Instagram story.

Codey was seen stuck riding a carousel horse alongside his younger sibling Cameron. Feeling sorry for her younger brother, she captioned the story, “When you’re the middle child and other siblings force you to participate.

While Codey may have been the subject of some sibling teasing, he is following his sister’s footsteps in carving out a niche for himself in the sports world. Just like his superstar sister, he’s got sports running through his veins. The 17-year-old Codey is a talented baseball player who is committed to play for the Missouri Tigers at the University of Missouri for the 2026 season. This is a step in the direction of fulfilling his dream of becoming a professional baseball player.

While both the siblings are sports persons, their journey has been different. Their father, Corey Gauff, highlighted the difference between the siblings.

In an interview with USA Baseball earlier this year he said, “Coco chose what she wanted to do very early on. Codey played football for a little bit and some basketball, kind of arriving at baseball a little bit later in life than Coco did with tennis, but they both worked really hard growing up. They both have unique skill sets in their respective sports. It’s been great to watch them grow.” That’s not it.!

Their youngest sibling, Cameron, who is just 11, also has a keen interest in sports. He has expressed his aspiration of becoming an NFL player when he grows up. The youngest has already won an Academic Award Under-8 for his outstanding performance in sports. It all makes sense when you take a look at their parents.

Interestingly, both Corey and Candi were on the path to becoming professional athletes. Corey played basketball at Georgia State University, while her mother Candi was on the track and field team at Florida State University.

While the family is having fun in Australia, Coco Gauff is also preparing to kick off her 2025 season at the United Cup.
