Coco Gauff’s dazzling, off-shoulder, grey outfit proves that her collapse against Madison Keys in the Madrid Open couldn’t let her morale down. Putting an intriguing twist in the whole scenario, her fellow tennis players, Danielle Collins, Paula Badosa, and her rumored boyfriend applauded the occasion.

Coco Gauff shared pictures of herself from her dinner date on Instagram, which was captioned: “Pov: im ur dinner date.” Gauff commanded attention with her composed posture, looking stunning in the grey one-piece and black boots.

The restaurant’s pleasant decor and warm lighting created a relaxed environment that was perfect for the evening. In addition, the US Open 2023 champion’s contagious smile and easygoing demeanor demonstrated her ability to find times of leisure and enjoyment despite her strenuous tennis career. At the same time, her rumored boyfriend Jalen Sera also dropped a comment on the post – “Nights like this nights like this.” In no time, even the world number third replied, and wrote,

“Rewind buttons should exist.”

Paula Badosa and Danielle Collins, two more tennis professionals, responded to Gauff’s post about a dinner date. The 2024 Miami Open champion showed appreciation for the young American’s delightful evening with a simple heart emoji. The 26-year-old Spaniard, on the other hand, lightheartedly embellished her remark by calling Gauff “Sexyyyyyyy,” emphasizing how attractive and sophisticated she looked throughout the dinner outing.

Coco’s opponent at the Madrid Open, 29-year-old Madison Keys, battled the 20-year-old out of advancing into the quarter-finals (a second win against Gauff in a total of five matches). On the athletic front, the fact that Keys made it to the quarterfinals of the WTA 1000 tennis event is especially noteworthy because it is her first time in ten appearances at this level. Currently ranked 20th in the world, the 29-year-old has a 3-2 record against her 20-year-old opponent.

On April 29, Monday, Keys took out Gauff at 7-6(4), 4-6, 6-4 in two and a half hours. Gauff—who hasn’t advanced to a WTA final on clay since falling to Iga Swiatek in the 2022 French Open championship match—trailed 5-2 in the first set and 4-2 in the deciding set. But Keys turned her game around to grab four straight games and bank on every opportunity (Coco suffering two double faults in the final game among 11 others before that) to what was a convincing win for Keys and nothing short of a heartbreak for the Floridian. Keys later said, “I was just trying to take the opportunities when they presented themselves.”

Subsequently, their match on the red clay courts gave their rivalry a fresh angle and demonstrated Keys’ versatility in various environments. In addition, before going out for dinner, Gauff also attended a “fun training” cooking class!

Gauff enjoyed a fun cooking class “to be a chef ”

After the loss at the Madrid Open, the reigning US Open champion shared pictures from a much-awaited cooking session on Instagram to give fans a peek into her life off the court. Despite her hectic schedule, she wrote in the post that she was enjoying learning to be a chef and thanked her instructor and the cooking club for allowing her to make multiple schedule adjustments because of her tennis obligations.

She wrote, “I had fun training so I can pretend to be a chef in the bear lol. can’t wait to use what I learned and make food for my family! thank you @stephan.dalsoglio for the gift. and thank you @thecookingclubhouse for letting us reschedule a million times because of my match schedule:)”

The 20-year-old’s open admission sheds light on the difficult juggling act that professional athletes like her must navigate by highlighting the difficulties of mixing hard training and personal interests.
