Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula Prove to Be True Prodigies for Venus and Serena Williams as They End a 12-Year American Drought

The American women’s tennis players are on top of their game, not leaving any stone unturned. Recently, Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff raised the name of American on the WTA tour after clinching ranks in the Top 4. Incumbently, Jessica Pegula is World No 3 and Gauff is No 4. After 12 years, two American women’s tennis players have repeated this feat after Serena and Venus Williams.

They ranked No 2 and No 4 in the WTA in 2010. Additionally, the two players have performed astoundingly well in 2022 rising up the ranks of the WTA ranking chart and securing a place at the WTA Finals.

Moreover, Pegula ended up winning the first singles title of the year and Gauff reached the quarter-finals of the tournament. Apart from that, the two players once again established their supremacy in the doubles category at the San Diego Open.

Both the players have pushed themselves a lot this year. They have performed well not just in the singles category but also in the doubles. Pegula ranks No 3 in the doubles category and Gauff has the World No 2 ranking in the same.

The two sisters started training when they were little kids under the aegis of their father, Richard Williams. They both grew up to become two of the best women tennis players.

Venus Williams won seven Grand Slam titles and the younger one won whopping 23 Grand Slam titles in singles. But that is not it, the two sisters won 14 Grand Slam titles in the doubles category and three Olympic gold medals.
