But for now, Pegula is coming into the WTA Finals carrying great momentum from her Korea Open win. She won the championship with only one set dropped, and it served as a boost after a round 2 exit from the China Open. Her matches in the WTA Finals have already begun, and the 29-year-old American star has already broken the record by winning her first bout.
