Out of the four Grand Slam titles won by Swiatek, she has had success thrice on the clay courts of the French Open. Additionally, Swiatek boasts of a superior record on clay, which is her favorite surface. This led to the host of the Tennis Channel Inside-In podcast, Mitch Michals, making a big admission on Swiatek. He said, “She’s got a chance to make a run at Chrissy as the best clay court player ever. She’s young enough. There’s a chance there. My thing watching this and I know she won last week in Doha, and now we’re on to Dubai the 1000 level event.”

Further, he went on to add, “She still has so much to improve on her new serve, that she’s still winning that it’s almost scarier like okay, this is Iga’s B or C level game where she’s still playing some loose Service Games with that new motion, but the return numbers are a joke. It’s like, How much better can she actually be?”

There have not only been talks about Iga Swiatek emulating Evert but also Rafael Nadal’s feat. For the record, the Spaniard has won 14 titles at the French Open. Swiatek once revealed if she could match Nadal’s feat.

The Polish star is a big fan of Nadal and idolizes him. Following Swiatek’s French Open success, she has been often compared to Nadal. But she downplayed her chances of matching Nadal’s 14 French Open titles.

Swiatek revealed, “But, no, like Rafa, what he did and what he’s still doing, it’s pretty amazing. I never kind of knew that it’s gonna be possible for me. So it was totally out of my reach, if I can say that. And, you know, still he played so well so many years, I don’t know if it’s going to be possible for me.”
