Chris Evert is having the time of her life as a new grandma. Suffering from cancer for long, Evert’s life has now taken a happy turn. After welcoming her grandson Hayden, Evert is elated, finding a net thing to be enthusiastic about. Now, with her recent statement on life, it seemed Evert has finally found a new favorite activity apart from tennis.

Some do not enjoy babysitting, but Evert is not one of those people. After welcoming her son in May, and beating cancer like a true warrior, this former American tennis legend is making sure she can spend as much time as she can with him.

She initially paid him a visit in the hospital, but now gets to spend some alone time with him. Evert shared an adorable picture with her grandchild on X and wrote, “Oh, yes …..my all time favorite in Colorado…; babysitting grandson Hayden James….” Evert also shared Hayden’s photo as the infant was sleeping on his momma’s lap adorably.

Hayden is Evert’s grandchild from her son Nicholas and his spouse Rebecca. When he was born in May, his grandmother Evert visited him in the hospital. In an interview with the New York Times, Evert said, “I’m in love with this little baby already. It makes me want to live even more.” This former American tennis legend was very happy when she received the news and immediately shared about Hayden on her social media profile.

She also thanked her son and his wife, Rebecca, for giving their family more love. “My son Nicky and his wife Rebecca welcomed their first child, Hayden James into this world last nite..Thanks for bringing more love into our family; so proud of you two,“ she wrote.

Grandson Hayden’s presence has surely brought a lot of joy in Chris Evert’s life. After all, Evert has always spoken about how much she loved having a family with her ex-husband, Andy Mill.

Not just her grandson, but Evert has been very close to her kids. In an interview with the Daily Mail in 2016, this former tennis legend spoke about her relationship with ex-husband Andy Mill. In this interview, Evert spoke about how much she loved having a family with her former husband. “I’ve had a three-part life and for me, the best part by far was being married to Andy, having kids and being a family. If I could do it over again, I’d have taken some time to really think about what was wrong and try to make it work,” she said.

Despite divorcing each other, Evert still shares a good bond with Mill. “The nice thing is we still love each other. It is a very comfortable love between two people now leading separate lives. He lives 15 minutes away from me in Florida, so we spend time with each other and as a family,” Evert said.

Evert’s adorable message for her grandson shows that Hayden will be spoiled by his grandmother in the future. After enjoying Evert’s work as a tennis player and then a commentator, Evert is leading a wholesome life off the court as she embraced her family after recovering from cancer.
