Serena Williams, with 23 grand slams and varied experience playing cameos in renowned movies like Avatar, gave a detailed analysis of every aspect of the movie. Reflecting on the protagonist Tashi, Serena mentioned that she was, “pretty tough to take.”

“Tashi was just mean, for lack of a better word. But it’s true that when you’re really competitive, you have to make tough decisions, including in your dating life. You have to find someone who really understands your mind,” she said, delving into details about the character and how she made irrelevant choices that can be justified by the immense pressure a player deals with.

Along with that, Serena also tried to compare her own character while she was in a position where the character Tashi can be seen in the movie. “I wasn’t like Tashi, but I was definitely tough at that stage in my life,” she said, drawing a line of comparison between her and the protagonist, who she thinks was difficult to understand at some points.

“I think Zendaya captured her character’s tensions really well. I also think it’s kind of a great sign when a performance gets under your skin like that,” she said, mentioning the fact that the Dune actress was quite good at absorbing the attitude of a tennis player.
