Serena Williams may have ruled the tennis courts for years dominating her way to greatness, but even she has got pop idols. And for Serena, one of her biggest inspirations comes from none other than the American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. And it seems that she can’t help being a fan of Swift’s talent and charm. Her admiration for the singer has come to light once again sparking a wave of excitement among both their fanbases. As the final phase of Taylor Swift’s highly acclaimed Eras Tour unfolded, excitement was palpable among the masses, and the tennis great, Williams couldn’t keep herself out of wave.

Swift took to Instagram to share the momentous news on October 15, stating, “We’ll be kicking off the final leg of The Eras Tour[that has spanned two year] this week, which is hard to comprehend. This tour has been the most wondrous experience, and I knew I wanted to commemorate the memories we made together in a special way.” And now, the latest video of Williams highlights how big of a Swift fangirl she is. 

Taking to her Instagram, the 43-year-old shared a video of herself where she can be seen excited for Swift’s concert. In the first half of the video, Williams is seen in a room getting ready for the concert. Then, the legendary player is seen dancing as Swift made her way to the stage at the concert in Miami. Captioning the post, Williams wrote. “Oh, just a causal Swifty over here (maybe not so causal 🤷🏿‍♀️) @taylorswift #miami #erastour.” She also added Swift’s song ‘You Belong with Me’ to the post. Her post comes just a day after her daughter Olympia, turned her father Alexis Ohanian into a true Taylor Swift fan. 

Alexis Ohanian earlier shared pictures from the concert and gave a sneak peek into his family’s time at the concert. He also highlighted the impact of the singer on him and wrote, “I’m a Swiftie now. Amazing experience. Fantastic performance. Olympia’s first-ever concert will be VERY hard to top. Thank you, @taylorswift,” in the captions. This, however, is not the first time when Serena Williams or her daughter’s love for Taylor Swift has captured eyeballs. 

In an interview with podcast host and editor Kara Swisher at the INBOUND event, Williams revealed the love of her daughter for the American singer. “My daughter just turned 7. She’s not into princesses, she’s into Taylor Swift,” she said adding “I am, too,” with a smile. And while Williams’ entrepreneur husband has turned into a Swiftie only now, he has also admired the singer’s achievements in the past.

Right from the time when Taylor Swift’s recent album 1989 (Taylor’s Version) aired on music platforms, it went on a record-smashing spree. For fans, it stirred up feelings of nostalgia from when the album was originally released a decade ago. And, Ohanian came forward to express his admiration for the masterpiece.

Taking to his X, Ohanian praised the singer writing, “Taylor Swift’s ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ is #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, the 6th time in 10 weeks. This is a re-recorded album. She is a force of nature.” It’s always a great moment when sports and music meet and appreciate each other. And Serena’s family exemplifies that.
