As much as the fans miss seeing Serena Williams on a tennis court ever since her first-round retirement at the Wimbledon championships this year, the legendary American player has always kept fans engaged with updates from her family life on social media.

Serena Williams and daughter Olympia indulge in fun conversation via their Barbie dolls
Now, internet’s adorable mother-daughter duo of Serena and Olympia have made their love for each other visible to not just each other but also to their scores of fans across the globe.
Recently, Serena put up a video on Instagram where she could be seen enacting a Barbie doll conversation with Olympia.
“This girl takes my egg, my cookies, and some salad!!”, said Olympia.
In response, her mother and the 23-time major winner told, “No way, No way, Wait a minute!! Wait a minute!! Oh my goodness!! oh my goodness!! I can’t believe she did that. Tell me what did you do. I need to know. I need to know what did you do”.

Clearly, the banter between the duo was adorable and the legendary mother also wrote, “POV: you’re getting your hair done in the Salon (Compton)”.
Looking at the WTA season of Serena, she played limited tournaments but her best result was the semi-finals she made at the Australian Open, where she lost to Naomi Osaka.
Serena decided to pull out of Australian Open next year
After putting an end to her 2021 campaign, the American was expected to bounce back at the Australian tennis summer in January next year. But, Serena announced her decision to skip the Australian Open as she wasn’t completely recovered from the hamstring injury.

“Following the advice of my medical team, I have decided to withdraw from this(next) year’s Australian Open. While this is never an easy decision to make, I am not where I need to physically to compete”, mentioned Serena in a statement.

For next year, Serena’s best chance to win a grand slam is Wimbledon. If she can make a comeback before SW19 and find her groove in early tournaments, the 23-time Grand Slam champion will put herself in a position where she might not get ignored in the list of projected title winners.
