Billie Jean King Cup Finals recently raised their prize money to $9.6 million to equal with men’s Davis Cup. Now, with an equivalent prize level to the men, Team Canada would also like to repeat their success of the Davis Cup 2022 in BJK Cup Finals, 2023. Well, to get this answer we’ll have to wait till the end. The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 7 to November 12 at Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, Spain. But before the start of their campaign in the prestigious tournament, Team Canada was caught up in a Q&A session. Here’s what they revealed.

This will be Bouchard’s first time representing the country at the team competition since 2018. Though she had earlier competed in the Fed Cup but now the format has changed and so has the name. She would now like to don the red and white colors to put Canada atop the 12 participating nations in the 60-year-old tournament. Tennis is growing rapidly in Canada and if they could manage the victory, this would be an enormous achievement.?
To be a superwoman in women’s tennis in Canada, you must have superpowers. Here’s what they said when they were asked about the superpowers they want to acquire. The former world number 5, Eugenie Bouchard said “My superpower would be to be able to go back in time. So I go back and win every match I lost.” Bouchard had come closer to many famous victories in the past and but had eventually missed them by an inch every time.
So, this answer perhaps reflects her disappointment of not making it through to the Finish lines in the past. While 21YO rising star, Leylah Fernandes revealed she wants to read minds so that she can read her opponent’s mind during the games. Others chose to teleport themselves when asked about the superpowers they would like to acquire.?
