Victoria Azarenka feels that she was really brave throughout the match
In the post-match press conference, Azarenka faced an intriguing question. She was asked if she played bravely against Ostapenko in the semi-finals of the Indian Wells 2021. Interestingly, the Belarusian came up with a great response.
“I mean have you seen how I saved that break-point at 6-5,” began Azarenka with a smile. “I mean, can you be more brave than that and I was thinking in my head, I’m gonna use one drop shot, and I chose the perfect timing. So, I think based on that point, I think it answers your question.”
Azarenka clearly stated that it was really bold of her to hit a drop shot when she was trying to save a break-point. However, she backed herself and hit that with the perfect timing. She certainly seems confident in her abilities and will be a force to reckon with in the final.
