It seems like Japanese tennis star, Naomi Osaka has finally given a glimpse of her comeback to professional tennis. Just recently, she shared snaps from her first practice session after crashing in the third round of US Open 2021. Osaka, who stepped away from tennis for a while has resumed her training.
In her words, Naomi Osaka stated that it was a rusty session. To this, journalists from Tennis Channel presented their opinions on the return of Osaka. They believe it’s all about fitness and building the foundation.

Journalists on Naomi Osaka’s return
Soon after the Tennis ace posted pictures from her training session, reporters from Tennis Channel gave their perspectives on Osaka’s future. The reporter said, ” She’s back on the tennis court. How great is this to see. To this, Pam Shriver replied, ” She might be rusty as she would be taking a lot of time off.”
Furthermore, she added, ” But it’s really gonna be about her fitness building that foundation during this time, and then her tennis ball striking will come back if her fitness is there.”
In the pictures shared by Naomi Osaka, she particularly used the Australian Open balls. This might be a sign from the Japanese star who wants to make her come back to Melbourne. Journalists concluded by saying, ” That means Osaka headed to Melbourne.”

Moreover, Jim Courier said Osaka might be taking a little break at the end of the month and will soon resume her training again with full throttle.

Where did Osaka play her last match?
Naomi Osaka withdrew from the second round of French Open 2021 citing concerns about her mental health. Soon after, she even pulled out from Wimbledon championships. However, Osaka stepped to her feet at the Flushing Meadows. The two-time US Open champion advanced in the third round of the competition with ease.
In the third round, she faced the Canadian sensation, Leylah Fernandez. Osaka conquered the opening set handsomely. However, Fernandez soon gained some confidence and fought her way to victory. In the subsequent sets, Fernandez crumbled the former World No. 1 and recorded a win 5-7, 7-6, 6-4.
