‘Brought More Aggression Out’- Right After Marrying Greg Norman, Chris Evert Imagined an Intriguing Possibility Over Her One Tennis Regret

Former American tennis star Chris Evert is among the best in the history of tennis. Over the years, we have seen many players, but the rivalry between Evert and Navratilova is something unbeatable. Evert has 18 Grand Slam titles to her name and was popular for her cool-headed attitude. However, the 67-year-old believes that a little more aggression would have helped her game.

This is one of the main reasons why Evert feels she should have met Greg Norman earlier.

Chris Evert wished to have met Greg Norman earlier

Chris Evert split up her long-time marriage with Andy Mill to marry his best friend Greg Norman. Evert’s marriage with the Aussie golfer was her third and by the time of their marriage, she had already given up playing tennis. Later, in an interview, the former world number 1 admitted that if they met earlier, it would have suited both of them. Here’s what she said.

“But (Norman’s) got that charisma. He’s got that great walk, in case any of you haven’t noticed. He’s got a great walk and a great stand,” Evert said. When asked what if they met earlier, she further added, “He could have brought more aggression out in me, and maybe I could have calmed him down.”

Unfortunately, Evert’s marriage with Norman didn’t last long. The couple parted ways after only 15 months of their marriage.

Norman’s ex-wife called out Evert

Greg Norman’s ex-wife Laura straight away accused Evert of not being a good person. The Aussie was not happy with the way Evert pursued her then-husband, Greg Norman. Prior to their divorce, Norman was the best friend of Evert’s ex-husband, Andy Mill.

Laura recalled the time when she met Mill and Evert and clearly admitted that she has no respect for the tennis legend. Further, she expressed her surprise over the fact that their marriage lasted only 15 months.

Ever since her divorce, Evert has remained single and avoided getting back into a relationship. Instead, the 67-year-old used her time to live her life the way she wanted to and strengthened her relationship with her sons.
