Serena Williams’ elder sister, Venus Williams, had a marvelous tennis career with many remarkable games. The 42-year-old won seven Grand Slam singles titles so far. The American tennis ace also won a lot of matches alongside her younger sister, Serena. They together formed one of the most iconic duos, winning 14 doubles Grand Slam titles.

The former world number one also has her own clothing line, EleVen, in addition to her tennis prowess. She recently did a photo shoot for Glamour magazine. 

Venus did a photo shoot for Glamour

Venus Williams graced the cover of Glamour UK’s October issue. The former world number one also participated in a lengthy interview with journalist Abigail Blackburn about her past accomplishments and future plans.

The American tennis star took to her social media account to share a sporty picture from her photo shoot with Glamour. Furthermore, for the photo shoot, she tried on various looks, but her sporty look won overall.

She shared a picture from the photoshoot and captioned it with, Superhero’s Welcome.” The 42-year-old wore a tennis skirt paired with a superwoman cape and had the same color gloves. The outfit has a lot of colors and wore contrasting sports shoes with the outfit.

Venus speaks on the Williams sisters’ learnings

While having a lengthy conversation with the magazine, Williams opened up about how important it was for their parents to teach them about a lot of things, like about themselves and society. And they also prepared the Williams sisters to lift their heads up as African-Americans, back in the time when racism was at its peak.

She further talked about how they helped them discover who they really are and where they belong. She added that her parents also taught the iconic tennis duo about the history of African-Americans and where they stand.

The Williams sisters were last seen playing a doubles match together at the US Open this year, following which the 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams hung up her racket after the tournament, while on the other hand, the elder sister wants to continue playing a little more, at least till the time she believes she can continue to do so.
