Serena Williams is undoubtedly one of the greatest athletes, and recently, the American has successfully entered the business domain. But there was a time when she featured on the GQ Magazine cover as the woman of the year, which soon turned out controversial.

Williams is proud of her body

Serena Williams took to her Reddit Account and wrote a note addressing the recent hate she was getting. “I’ve been called man because I appeared outwardly strong … It has been said I don’t belong in women’s sports — that I belong in men’s — because I look stronger than many other women do. (No, I just work hard and I was born with this badass body and proud of it.),” She said.

Working out and having a chiseled physique is helpful for the athletes in their respective games. It is an option that is open to everyone and it’s sad that people use it as a way to disrespect a legend like Serena.

Serena Williams all set for hard court return

Serena Williams made a comeback earlier this year. She crashed out of the first round of Wimbledon Championships 2022. The 40-year-old will be back in the action for the American hard court swing. She will feature in the National Bank Open to get the much-needed match practice. The former world number one has arrived in Toronto for the tournament.

Later she will also feature in the Cincinnati Masters tournament before entering the US Open 2022. Serena has won the US Open title six times in her illustrious career.
