Recently, the 31-year-old received a green light to step back onto the court after a panel declared that contaminated meat was the reason for her failed doping test. Moore, who held the position of the top-ranked women’s doubles player in Britain back in May 2022, got banned due to doping concerns.

As the news started to catch the attention of experts and insiders from the tennis world, Billie Jean King recently backed the Briton, asking for compensation that meets her loss. Pleased to hear this news. [Tara Moore] should have her ranking reinstated, and we need to address how to compensate her for lost prize money,” wrote Billie Jean, asking the authorities to make a just decision regarding Moore’s professional career.

The legend backed Moore as she found herself in a problematic situation of losing both her reputation and ranking. Billie Jean‘s support adds weight to her voice of demanding justice from the authorities. Moreover, on the heels of Billie Jean King, many other tennis personalities have come forward to support the 31-year-old on her tough journey.

Jannik Sinner’s coach echoes the demands of Tara Moore

A loss of 19 months can be huge for a professional tennis player’s career. While it takes consistent efforts to build a stable ranking in order to seek slots on different tours, Tara Moore is in a situation where she won’t be able to get back in anytime soon. Keeping the facts in consideration, Jannik Sinner’s coach Darren Cahill recently came forward to highlight the situation that the Briton is currently stuck in.

“This timeline is so bad. It’ll take Tara 18-24 months to recover her rankings if everything goes perfectly. Tennis is a unique sport where we are wiped out & back to zero after 12 months. The WTA should reinstate her rankings or at very least provide provisional rankings, “ said Cahill, in a recent tweet over Moore’s emotional post.

Though tennis legends have raised their voices to back the tennis star, it still remains to be seen if the authorities consider the demands or not.
