

Roger Federer has been competing at the top level of tennis since 1998 and over the years, he’s inspired countless tennis players. Intriguingly, his longevity on the court has ensured that Federer had the unique privilege of playing at the same time as players who idolize him. One such name is the Canadian tennis star, Eugenie Bouchard.
Recently, Bouchard went live with Tennis Channel for a quick chat. She answered some of the most intriguing questions about her off-court self. When asked about her dream-hitting partner, she without hesitation took Roger Federer’s name for the task. She also added that she’s a huge Federer fan.

Eugenie Bouchard desires to play with Roger Federer
Eugenie Bouchard has been away from the tour since Monterrey Open in March due to a shoulder injury. Recently, Bouchard went live from her Instagram with Tennis Channel to answer a few interesting questions. When she was asked about her dream-hitting partner, she replied, “A current player, I mean I would just want to hit with Roger. I’m the biggest Federer fan.”

The Canadian has always expressed her admiration towards Roger Federer. On several occasions, Bouchard has stated her desire to partner with Federer in the doubles event. Subsequently, she picked Steffi Graf’s name when asked about a past player.

She said about Graf, “Past player, someone I always wanted to play with, and luckily I’ve been able to Steffi Graf. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to get her on the court. She literally has better footwork than any player on tour still, to this day. Yeah, she is like still so in shape so well. It’s like fun watching her and Andre (Agassi) hit together… It’s just legendary.”
Eugenie has undoubtedly picked two of the greatest tennis players of all time as her dream pairing. While the Canadian is still recovering from her injury, recently she gave some positive news about it.

Recently in a conversation with commentators at Indian Wells, Bouchard shared a quick injury development. The Canadian stated, “Thank you for asking. It’s going well. So it’s been over four months now, so I’m looking forward to getting on the court. I’m going to meet the doctor once I’m done working here this week. I’ll meet him in New York next week. And he’ll give me the clear if I can get on the court yet.”

Clearly, her recovery is going well and the update regarding her shoulder is a positive one. When do you think her comeback will be to the tennis courts?
