The Reddit co-founder took to Instagram to share some good news about his team Angel City FC and women’s sports. Sharing a picture of his Angel City FC team, he said, “@acmomento worked with @weareangelcity to auction players’ shirts and raised money for the Player 22 Future Program, providing pathways for retired @nwsl players for sports-specific career development. A big win for women’s soccer.”
Further, Angel City FC’s match against San Diego Wave entered the record books. The match recorded a sellout crowd of 32,000 which was the biggest attendance for an NWSL match. San Diego Wave went on to win that match 1-0.
Talking about this, Ohanian, in his subsequent stories on Instagram, said, “Sellout crowd of 32,000 fans at Snapdragon stadium. Biggest turnout for a @nwsl match! Proud of the work @weareangelcity has done so far. This is just the start.”
