The 2023 Australian Open champion, Aryna Sabalenka, misses her dad as she goes through some old father-daughter moments from her childhood. Additionally, while giving her fans a sneak peek at her childhood pictures, the current WTA world number two also hinted at something interesting coming up. 

The Belarusian tennis player’s father is the one who introduced her to the sport. Recently, after winning her first Grand Slam title, she dedicated her maiden Grand Slam victory to her late father.

Recently, the Australian Open champion took to her Instagram account to share a collage of her childhood pictures. Among those nostalgic pictures, there was a picture of the young tennis player holding her father’s hand. Over that picture, she wrote, “Dad I miss you so much.” The Australian Open champion lost her father in 2019 at the age of 43.

Next, she also shared a family picture and a glimpse of a younger version, both with her father and her mother. She addressed her mother as a “Supermodel.” Additionally, she also pointed out the youngest version of herself and tagged her as, “Little Aryna.” 

In the same Instagram story, she explained why she chose to go down memory lane. She wrote, “Was needed to go through all these pictures for something interesting coming soon. Guess what.” Sabalenka hinted that something is in the making, which will be out soon. “My episode is coming soon,” she added.

Now her fans are eagerly waiting for this surprise that includes her father, as they know what he meant for her. Even before winning her first Grand Slam title, the Belarusian tennis star was very clear: she wanted to achieve a major title for her father.

Sabalenka dedicated her victory at the Australian Open to her father 

Last month, the world number two won her first Grand Slam title; her biggest achievement on the WTA Tour to date. Notably, after winning her maiden major title, the 24-year-old Belarusian champion remembered her father, and shared a heartfelt message.
