World No.2 Aryna Sabalenka has had a tremendous year so far. She won her first and only Grand Slam to date in the Australian Open. It is to be noted that she won the Australian Open losing just one set the entire tournament. She almost reached the finals of the French Open, but missed it by a whisker. As Sabalenka’s records indicate, she is a fabulous tennis player. No doubt about that. She has 19 WTA titles to her name. 13 in singles and 6 in doubles. She has also been ranked the former world no.1 in doubles. But she was asked a rather uncomfortable question as to what she would have done if not for tennis. Her response was blunt and straightforward. She said if not for tennis, she would have chosen to model.

To diehard fans of Sabalenka, her answer won’t come as a surprise. The Australian Open champion revels in taking unique pictures wherever she goes. She also never fails to flaunt the same with her fans on Instagram. Keeping her bustling off-court life in mind, she was recently asked about a career away from tennis.

Aryna Sabalenka is only 25 years of age. She still has a lot to give for the tennis world and has already achieved a lot in her illustrious career. She must be proud of her achievements, but more than that, she is relieved that her boyfriend, Kolstov, can be with her on her travels.

‘The Tennis Letter’ tweeted about her recent interview, in which she was quoted saying: ?If you have a boyfriend who can’t follow you on your travels or personal worries, it’s not easy. And I don’t know what I would do if tennis wasn’t there. I love modeling, taking photos? Maybe that would have been my life.?

According to Sabalenka, if not for her boyfriend, she doesn’t know what she would have done. She has called him,?her ?dearest person, my best friend, and my strongest support.?

The former ice-hockey player and Sabalenka’s boyfriend, Konstantin, has been a source of constant support for her. Although some may perceive him to be a liability or a distraction for her, it is only through his support that she has won the Australian Open as well as reach the semifinals of the recently concluded Roland Garros.

While it is true that her boyfriend is a source of support for her, she must not get carried away and avoid such losses just days leading up to the tournament. Anyway, her fans would hope that she sorts out whatever caused the loss and emerges triumphant at the Wimbledon Championships.
