Aryna Sabalenka was one of the favorites to win the French Open after the season she had. But a semifinal loss against Karolina Muchova in three sets ended the dreams of the Belarusian player. Although the defeat was devastating for the WTA world no.2, Sabalenka is aiming to move on from her loss. She also shared her efforts in doing just that on her Instagram story, as she enjoyed a fun day out with a carefree message.

Sabalenka and her boyfriend, Konstantin Koltsov, have been setting couple goals for their fans ever since they began dating. Being a tennis player is a tough job, with players being the target of media scrutiny. With Sabalenka becoming a target due to the involvement of Belarus in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, she took a much needed break from the stress of answering the probing questions of journalists.

The match between the Belarusian superstar and the Czech player was rather intense. With Muchova winning the first set, the match was tense. Despite Sabalenka making a comeback in the second set, she was off her rhythm as Muchova beat her in the third set and secured the match with a score of 7-6(5), 6-7(5), 7-5.

Yet, Sabalenka is not lamenting the loss at the moment. For now, the Belarusian beauty is aiming to de-stress from the weight of her loss. She recently shared a series of videos and pictures on her Instagram story, which showed her enjoying Paris. She and Koltsov went for a hike on the outskirts of the city.

As a sign of her letting her defeat go, Sabalenka wore a T-shirt which said, “F**k it“. In her moment of immense distress, her boyfriend came through for her once again, as he has done on countless occasions. 

Koltsov rescues her partner

The French Open has not been kind to the Belarusian player. The semifinal loss aside, press conferences were even more difficult for Sabalenka to face. She was constantly bombarded with questions related to her opinion on the Russia-Ukraine war, especially after her bout with Elina Svitolina. She had a difficult time at the interviews. However, waiting for her back in the room was a beautiful bouquet sent by her boyfriend.
