Naomi Osaka, the Japanese tennis ace and the four-time grand slam champion, has many friends on and off the court. Although she is shy, she forges a bond with people due to her straightforward nature. However, none of her friends can compete with her companion, Butta.
Butta is a French Bulldog whom Osaka adopted last year amidst the backlash of skipping Wimbledon 2021. Therefore, it can be said that he is in charge of preserving Osaka’s mental well-being.

Naomi Osaka and Her Precious Little Dog

The former World No.1 makes sure her little buddy is by her side on her tours. He accompanied Naomi on her recent tour to North America, where he became the center of attention. Many fans and entities got attached to the pup and hence, demand updates about him. As she didn’t bring him to her ongoing tournament in Spain.

One of Naomi’s fans asked about Butta on her Instagram handle. To which she responded by posting a picture of her hugging Butta and wrote, “He is being spoiled as per usual. I miss him, though.”

Further, Naomi looks strong as she breezed past her opponent in the first round of Madrid Open. She defeated the 21-year-old Russian Anastasia Potapova in the straight sets of 6-3, 6-1. Hence, it seems like Butta’s mom might bring him a gift from this year’s Madrid Open.

Recently Osaka announced that her sun and skin care brand kinloskin, designed for highly pigmented skin tones will be available in store and online purchase. The chemical free mineral based has expanded its offering by partnering with Walmart. US merchandise director Angel Beasley said, “Naomi is truly a pioneer in her work to build a future of skincare that’s formulated for melanated skin, while shining a light on the unmet needs affecting people of color.”
