Serena Williams announced her retirement after making a comeback on the grass courts of Wimbledon. She played the warm-up events of the American swing and jumped on the hard courts of the US Open with some goals. Serena Williams about pairing with elder sister
Williams, while speaking to the press prior to her first doubles match, said, “My sister, and I are considered most dominant sibling pair in women’s tennis history. I don’t know all the doubles record, but we are good pairing, that’s all I could say.”
“In Grand Slam finals we are 14 and a zero and now we are playing our first round and first match together in six years. So we won Olympic gold medals together, we have won grand slams, and we have won the US open twice. So we have been in the winners’ circle here.”
Further, she added, “We know what that feels like and this gang’s getting back together. I am do excited about Williams’ sisters. We are ready to go.” Venus and Serena claimed 6 Wimbledon, 4 Australian Opens, 2 French Opens, and 2 US Opens trophies together.

In the case of the Olympics, they came out victorious for the first time in the year 2000 in Sydney. Thereafter, the duo claimed the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and defended their title in London. They last paired for the 2018 Roland Garros and made a run till the third round.
Venus and Serena in the US Open
The duo, which collaborated after almost four years, locked horns with the Czechs Linda Nosková and Lucie Hradecká in the opening round of the US Open. However, owing to their lost form caused by a year long injury break, they failed to get the better of them.
