‘Beautiful Little Jedi’ Makes Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Proud as She Builds Star Wars’ Signature Weapon

Alexis Ohanian, husband of Serena Williams, has been a fan of the Star Wars franchise since he was a child. His love for the series, which takes place in a location far away, has not changed as he became a father for the second time. In fact, he has shared his love of the series with his elder daughter, Olympia. The six-year-old has developed a love for the series herself, and her father couldn’t be happier.

 He shared a picture on his social media showing how Olympia created an iconic item from the series. As he showed how Olympia slowly turned into a Star Wars geek, his wife was not far behind as he shared the process by which one can make the iconic weapon from the series.

Like her entrepreneurial father, Olympia has also developed a love for the Sci-fi series created by George Lucas. However, she is getting to enjoy the series in a way her father never did. Recently, the Olympia-Williams household got to visit Savi’s Workshop at Disney World in Florida. There, Olympia got to build her very own lightsaber.

Ohanian shared his pride with his followers on his ‘X’ page as he shared two pictures of Olympia working on the lightsaber. He also wrote the caption, “My beautiful little Jedi didn’t want/need my help building her first lightsaber. 😊 I’ve been looking forward to this moment for years.”

The Reddit co-founder also shared another post where he showed how Olympia played with her lightsaber, which was red in color.

The father-son duo were not alone in Disney World. The Queen of the Court accompanied them to Savi’s workshop and took short videos of how the attendees were taught to create their own sabers.

Serena Williams shares the process of building a lightsaber

The 23-time grand slam champion was right alongside her husband and daughters in Savi’s Workshop. She decided to indulge in her husband’s hobbies, and she also chose to build a lightsaber of her own. She showed glimpses of the process over several Instagram stories. Williams first began by showing their entry into the workshop.

It was followed by Savi explaining the lightsaber itself and how one creates their own. Williams then chose the color of the lightsaber by picking the red stone. She then showed a video of her choosing the grips for the lightsaber hilt. The next clip she shared was a complete lightsaber, and everyone in the venue stepped up to activate their own.

The day out for the family will be a memorable one, especially for Ohanian, as he got to witness his daughter enjoy one of his favorite series.
