For those wondering why she is dying to meet Robert Downey Jr, ‘Iron Man’ is one of the most popular Marvel comic superheroes and the character is portrayed on the big screen by the Hollywood superstar.
“I haven’t met Robert Downey Jr. And I love Marvel and the ‘Iron Man’,” the 23-time Grand Slam champion said.
The American was just as cool and effective as her favorite superhero at Melbourne Park on Wednesday as she battled past a gritty opponent in Nina Stojanovic.
Speaking courtside after the win, Serena said she was challenged by the Serb throughout the match and had to work hard to win games against her.
Even as the score-line would suggest otherwise, the Serb did look to stay in the contest in the opening games and made Serena labor to win the first set 6-3.
