There has been plenty of hype around Venus Williams‘ participation at this year’s US Open. Her chances might be negligible given her form and age. However, every single match she plays going forward is a bonus for the fans. But aside from tennis itself, Venus also continues to stun tennis fans with her off-court brilliance – especially her sartorial picks!

Sometimes it’s in the form of an insightful YouTube video, while sometimes she mesmerizes fans with her appearance. In this case, it’s the latter that has fans stunned. They took to Twitter to react to Venus’ unique look ahead of her opening round encounter at the US Open.

Venus kicked off her 24th US Open campaign against Greet Minnen from Belgium at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. On the occasion of her monumental 100th match at the US Open, Venus decided to drop a stunning attire. She donned a black suit over her white dress and capped it off with black shades and black purse. The long black heels perfectly complimented the attire as fans went gaga over the seven-time major champion.

The post went viral right after the tweet was made. Fans jumped onto social media right away to express their admiration for the 43-year-old.

“Venus literally out here starving folks 🔥🔥🔥“, said a fan while mesmerized by Queen Vee’s looks.

Another fan suggested that Venus Williams’ entrance could not be topped.

A fan made a statement that the other WTA girls must take notes from Venus.

One Twitter user also suggested that Venus looked like someone coming off a catwalk. She truly was giving off a model’s vibe in this picture.

However, things did not go as planned for Venus Williams as her US Open journey was only limited to Round One.

Venus crashes out of Round 1

Williams was initially drawn to play Paula Badosa, whose withdrawal made way for the lucky loser, Greet Minnen. But the Belgian had prepared well for the encounter. Minnen completely outplayed the former World No. 1. Venus simply couldn’t hit through her defenses on the rather humid New York night, finally losing 1-6, 1-6.
