Ashleigh Barty might not feature at the WTA Finals 2021

There are speculations that Barty might not play at the WTA Finals 2021 and will pull out of the tournament soon. Even though she, along with Aryna Sabalenka, have already qualified for the WTA Finals 2021, there are high chances that the 2-time Grand Slam champion will not feature at the event.

Barty is back in Australia and under such conditions, she is highly unlikely to travel to Guadalajara, Mexico, for the WTA Finals 2021. If this is the case, it is quite possible that her 2021 season is already over.

Even though the World No.1 player reached the finals of the Mutua Madrid Open 2021, she failed to defeat Sabalenka there and it is the only tournament of the year where Barty finished as the runner-up. However, she never gave up and lifted the Wimbledon Championships 2021 title soon after this.
