In today’s women’s singles final match at the Australian Open, we saw one of the best performances from a women’s player after a long time. World No.1 Ashleigh Barty beat Danielle Collins 6-3, 7-6 in a thriller of a match to clinch her first Australian Open and her third Grand Slam title.
Throughout the whole tournament, Ashleigh Barty has been exceptional. She lifted the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup without dropping a set.
Many people compared her dominant performance to Serena Williams‘ dominance over the years. Incidentally, after this win, Barty joined an elite list of players.
