Coco Gauff‘s family’s love for sports is no secret. The American tennis star has carved out her own place in tennis history with her remarkable skills and electrifying gameplay. But it’s not just Coco making waves in the sports world—her siblings are shining brightly too. While Coco takes a well-deserved break from the courts, it’s her younger brother, Codey, who is stepping into the spotlight. Codey has been impressing everyone with his own athletic prowess, bringing glory to the Gauff family in his own right.

Taking to her Instagram Story on Thursday, Coco Gauff’s mother Candi shared a picture with her son Codey Gauff and captioned it, “Keep it Up ❤️❤️❤️” Codey can be seen dressed in his San Diego uniform, which hints towards a big match that he might be a part of.

For the unversed, the 16-year-old did not follow in the footsteps of her elder sister to pursue tennis. He plays baseball at a junior level as a catcher and is currently in the high school class of 2026. In yet another Instagram story, Codey can be seen posing with his maternal grandfather with his playing kit on the ground. This is not the first time when Candi has celebrated or wished her son on Instagram.

Candi Gauff often takes to her Instagram stories and posts to celebrate the achievements of her children. In fact, her latest post is from a baseball match that Codey was a part of in late June, and is captioned “Let’s go!!!” Coco Gauff also expressed her love for her siblings in a recent interview that she was a part of.

Gauff opened up about her brothers and said, “Those relationships are incredibly important to me, especially, you know, traveling a lot, being by yourself a lot.” But, despite being younger, Codey Gauff has given some impressive motivation to his sister.

Coco Gauff opened up about the mind tactic that her brother Codey advised her to follow. Speaking after her third-round win against Alycia Parks, Gauff revealed that the advice she received helped her mind games in major events and was beneficial for her even in the US Open last year.

When quizzed about what she thinks on the court and how it works, Gauff claimed to “Have fun and relax” Continuing further, she said, “I think as you get later, the trophy obviously gets closer and closer. You have to treat it that it’s as far away as it is if you’re in the first round. That’s what I approached that final with. I didn’t approach it as I just need to win two sets and I have it. I approached it as I need to win seven matches again and then I’ll get it. It was actually something my brother told me, which is crazy.” Indeed, it is crazy for a teenager of Codey’s age to have such a detailed understanding of sports and give such brilliant advice. 

It will be interesting to see if he can also do equally well in the sports arena and make a place for himself like his sister.
