Aryna Sabalenka, the tennis powerhouse known for her fierce on-court presence, has found peace off-court with her beau, Georgios Frangulis. While Sabalenka continues to dominate the tennis world, Frangulis is making waves in the business sector as the proud owner of Oakberry Acai. His multimillion-dollar venture is rapidly expanding, with the brand now gearing up for its debut in Hawaii.
Açai Partners recently achieved a multi-unit agreement to introduce OAKBERRY to Hawaii, which is a noteworthy advancement for the brand’s US market launch. A wide range of investors are supporting this project, including Olympic volleyball player Kawika Shoji, who was born in Hawaii. He is accompanied by Chef Jason Peel, a semifinalist for the James Beard Award. Entrepreneurs Malia Kaaihue, Adam Wong, and Ryan Chun are a part of the investor group as well.
Since its inception in 2016 in São Paulo, Brazil, OAKBERRY, created by Frangulis and Renato Haidar, has gained recognition for providing organic açaí products. Their products contain a blend of blue agave syrup, brown sugar, and organic açaí pulp, enhanced with fresh toppings.

Before focusing on the US market, the company swiftly grew to over 300 locations in Brazil and made a name for itself in nations like Portugal, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates. Currently, Oakberry runs thirty locations in Florida, New York, and California. The company managed to raise $67 million in a Series C capital round in late 2023, which was overseen by BTG Pactual, the biggest investment bank in Latin America.
After raising $17.3 million in 2021 and receiving a green Agribusiness Receivables Certificate of $10.3 million in 2022, OAKBERRY conducted its third funding round with the goal of acquiring sustainably managed açaí from Brazil’s Amazon rainforest.
Sabalenka and her fiance Frangulis visited the Oakberry Açaí store in Paris during the 2024 French Open. The popular tennis player from Belarus, who is frequently spotted with Frangulis, posted a picture of their visit to the store on her Instagram Story. Subsequently, Sabalenka and Frangulis have been spotted together a lot.
