Aryna Sabalenka has the best team beside her to get her through the season. In a season full of ups and downs for the Belarusian star, her team was a constant, pushing her through the tough moments, and enjoying the wins. After claiming her year-end World No.1 trophy, Sabalenka credited her team, as she said, “I’m proud of myself. Not only myself, my team.” And now, her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, too, has also given credit to the coach, Jason Stacey, for his consistent support, as the Belarusian draws curtains on another successful season.
They make reels together, enjoying the training session. They have their own traditions before taking the court. At the US Open, the coach was seen doing kick sits on the center court! Moreover, Stacey got a tattoo, similar to the one Sabalenka has on her forearm, on his head to support his protégé during the US Open final. Though this is just a glimpse from behind the scenes, but speaks volumes about their relationship.
Sabalenka’s boyfriend, Frangulis, has also almost become part of her team as they travel around the globe together. The founder of Oak Berry paid homage to the coach after Sabalenka finished her year with two Grand Slam titles and 2 WTA titles. He posted a story showcasing Stacey and Sabalenka’s journey from the very beginning of the season, until the very end with the caption, “Jason Stacey is a legend!

I really appreciate them for everything they do for me. This is the motivation for me to keep winning on this court. Those guys deserve to be called the best team ever,”
Aryna Sabalenka certainly has an incredibly supportive team, as they would go to any length to keep their end of the bargain and cheer her up. The same thing happened at the US Open finals, when her fitness coach, Stacey, fulfilled his bet.

When Jason Stacey fulfilled his bet after Aryna Sabalenka made it to the US Open Final
Aryna Sabalenka started her season as a runner-up at the Brisbane International before going on to win her maiden Australian Open title. However, she was unable to find her form in the Clay swing and finished as a runner-up during Madrid and the Italian Open. The Belarusian star then withdrew from the Grass swing due to a shoulder injury. However, she made a terrific comeback on the hard court at the Cincinnati Open. Sabalenka later also claim the Cincinnati Masters, before adding another Grand Slam title to his tally at the Flushing Meadows.
However, there is one incident that garnered attention from everyone at the US Open. Her coach’s tattoo! While everyone enjoyed the show, with the matching tattoos, how did the bet unfold? Sabalenka opened up about it after winning the US Open title.

She said, “I forgot about that, but I think in Washington there is one girl. She’s my fan, she’s supporting me and she always comes up with some cool stuff related to my name. She brought these temporary tattoos, and Jason promised me that if I make it to the finals, he’s gonna make it. He’s gonna put it on his forehead.” And he did it!
With Sabalenka and Stacey being a perfect combination, fans wouldn’t want to bet against the Belarusian as she makes her way to Melbourne to defend her Australian Open title. She will be one of the strong favorites again.
