“Fashion is something I’m really crazy about,” said World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka last year while expressing her creative side. Yes, she’s a three-time Major winner and a dominant tennis player when on the court – but off it, she’s just like any other girl who loves flaunting new styles and enchanting looks. Perhaps that’s the reason she was seen making her presence felt at the NYC Fashion Week just days after clinching the US Open last September. Thanks to her association with Nike, the Belarusian has been part of some of the most amazing campaigns, trying new outfits. But this time, she got a very special treatment. And that is?
The 2024 US Open champion took to her Instagram on Wednesday and shared a string of stories. Guess where she was? At the Nike World Campus in Oregon. Yes, the World No.1, alongside her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis, was invited by the $120 billion brand at its World Headquarters. After all, she’s been a loyal ambassador of the brand for years now.
Among Sabalenka’s IG stories were several pictures and videos from inside the brand’s World Campus. There was one brief clip where she was visiting a section fully dedicated to her, with her photos decorated on the wall. In another clip, she was seen posing with her agent Keesha. “With my girl @keeshacurls ❤️❤️❤️”, she wrote. In the last image, she could be seen taking a ride inside the campus with BF Frangulis. Yes, Frangulis was there with her as well, as always.

There was a reason why Sabalenka made a visit to Nike’s World Campus. Just a few days back, she teamed up with the brand for its new ‘Swoosh Bra’ campaign. The official account of Nike shared a post featuring Sabalenka in its new collection. “3x Grand Slam Winner @arynasabalenka in the Nike Swoosh Bra is a Win-Win.”
Before her visit to the Nike campus, Sabalenka got special treatment from Nike a few weeks back too. And guess what? It had a Super Bowl connection!

When Nike showered Aryna Sabalenka with a Super Bowl-worthy moment
Last month, Aryna Sabalenka was featured in Nike’s solo commercial dedicated to her. It came right before her Australian Open campaign. The ad showed her in a lime green tennis dress, unleashing her solid shots near a car. With each shot, the car got demolished, reflecting how Sabalenka dominates her opponents on the court.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Aryna Sabalenka's focus on fashion affecting her performance, or is it just a temporary slump?

What made the ad even more impactful was Nancy Sinatra’s classic ‘Bang Bang’ (My Baby Shot Me Down) playing in the background. The 40-second commercial also had a message that read, “The following is a test. Do not attempt to recreate the power of Aryna Sabalenka at home…Good luck returning that.
Weeks after this campaign, Sabalenka got another chance to feature in Nike’s ad. But this time, it was for the Super Bowl LIX anthem titled ‘So Win’. The anthem celebrated 10 of the brand’s biggest female athletes, including the Belarusian. Apart from her, the line-up also included the likes of gymnast Jordan Chiles, basketball stars Caitlin Clark, A’ja Wilson, Paige Bueckers, Sabrina Ionescu, and JuJu Watkins, soccer greats Alexia Putellas and Sophia Smith, and track sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson. Interestingly, Sabalenka was the only tennis star to appear in that anthem.

The video, surprisingly, also showed the viral moment of Sabalenka smashing her racket after losing the AO final against Madison Keys. The American beat her in the championship battle to clinch her maiden Slam last month. With that, she also shattered Sabalenka’s dream to win the trophy down under for a third straight time after 2023 and 2024.
Since that defeat, there’s been a sharp decline in the World No.1’s form. After losing to Ekaterina Alexandrova in the first round of the Qatar Open, she was ousted from the Dubai Tennis Championships as well, losing to Denmark’s Clara Tausen in the second round. It will be intriguing to see if she will be able to bounce back at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells next month. Are you backing her?
