However, even after that, the action will be fantastic as the WTA 500 Chicago Fall Tennis Classic will soon be taking place. Interestingly, Kim Clijsters will be playing as a wildcard and Aryna Sabalenka will begin as the top-seeded player.

In Ashleigh Barty’s absence, World No.2 Aryna Sabalenka will lead the seeds at the WTA 500 Chicago. After her, Czech star Karolina Pliskova will occupy the second seed and World No.5 Elina Svitolina will be there at the third seed.

In addition, the other key players to give company to Sabalenka and Pliskova at the tournament will be Belinda Bencic, Sofia Kenin, Bianca Andreescu, and Garbine Muguruza.

Interestingly, former World No.1 Kim Clijsters will be making a comeback on the court in Chicago. She will be entering the tournament as a wildcard.

Kim Clijsters seem pretty excited about competing with star players like Aryna Sabalenka and Karolina Pliskova

Clijsters appears really exhilarated about the playing at the tennis event in Chicago. Intriguingly, it will be the first time when she will play a tournament in Chicago. As a result, she wrote a special message for her fans on Twitter.

“Thanks for the wildcard Chi Tennis Fest- looking forward to visiting Chicago for the first time and getting back on Tour again! See you soon,” tweeted an excited Clijsters.

The tennis tournament in Chicago will begin on September 27, 2021, and will extend till October 3, 2021. Fans are super electrified about the WTA 500 event that will also be taking place in the United States of America. Who will emerge as the winner of the competition?
