Is Aryna Sabalenka's comeback more about love and support than just physical recovery?

The action at Wimbledon has advanced to the pre-quarters. While the contenders are now expecting a rapid rise in intensity, Aryna Sabalenka has switched herself to recovery mode. Before even stepping on the court for her opening match at the grass-court major event, the Belarusian had to pull out because of an injury. The fans were eager to know how she was coping with it, so the WTA star surprised them with an update.

Injuries could be daunting, stressful, and hard to manage. But not for the charming Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka. She recently shared an update on her injury recovery. In a recent post on Instagram, the WTA star shared a picture of her with boyfriend Georgios Frangulis, in which they can be seen together on the tennis court. Sabalenka, who is healing from a shoulder injury, is apparently doing well enough with the support from Georgios during this tough time.

She also revealed her current schedule off the court by including glimpses of her having therapy for her shoulder and savoring a delicious dessert. “Recovering in more ways than one 💪🏼🍓☀️” she captioned the update.

Sabalenka’s boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, is always around her during good and bad times. The CEO of Oakberry, an Acai brand that recently made it to the headlines because of raising a massive $67 million, attended many of her matches at Roland Garros, and Sabalenka has also enjoyed going to the race events he was involved in. This constant support shows the strength of their bond as they help each other through their respective challenges.

Sabalenka had to withdraw from Wimbledon due to a shoulder injury incurred at the Berlin Open. The 26-year-old Belarusian expressed her disappointment in another Instagram post, saying, “I tried everything to get myself ready but unfortunately my shoulder is not cooperating.” This news was a blow to her fans, but her positive nature and the support from Georgios gave hope for a quick return to the courts.

Extending the decision of denial, the WTA star said, “Especially with all the struggles I’ve been struggling with the last months, I feel I have to take care of my health.” She continued to explain the reason behind this shocking revelation, saying, “It’s too much for the scheduling and I made the decision to take care of my health.”
