Before she could start her debut match at the tournament, the tennis fraternity was shocked to hear Sabalenka’s boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov’s news of passing away. While Sabalenka chose to maintain silence and continued to perform at the tournament, this entire thing surely impacted her mental health.
This Belarusian Grand Slam winner recently took to her official Instagram story, where she dropped a heartfelt message to her fans for their support. Sabalenka shared a picture of a beautiful sunset with the caption, which read- “I want to take a moment to say thank you to all my fans for your outpouring love and support during this difficult time. Sabalenka previously confirmed to the media that she ended her relationship with the former Belarusian ice hockey coach before his death. Sharing her feelings, this Belarusian WTA star wished people to understand her situation and respect her privacy. Aryna Sabalenka wrote- “Konstantin’s death is an unthinkable tragedy, and while we were no longer together, my heart is broken, Please respect my privacy and his family’s privacy during this difficult time.” Despite Sabalenka’s confirmation, the entire situation must have been very hard for the tennis star.
