Aryna Sabalenka‘s hopes to secure a clay court title in Rome meet a disappointing end. The Belarusian WTA star lost to Iga Swiatek with a final scoreline of 6-2, 6-3. While the showdown turned out to be a complete pack of emotions for her, she appeared to have accepted all of that. However, besides considering the aspects of her training, the tennis star also took a moment to thank her rumored boyfriend.

Sabalenka’s recent defeat against her Polish rival marked the second consecutive event in which she suffered a similar fate. While she appeared to be furious enough during the match, she managed to calm her mind down, turning herself back to the same old funny WTA star. As she took the stage to unleash her thoughts, the WTA star made a clear mention of her rumored boyfriend Georgios Frangulis.

Keeping her soft side reserved for the speculated love of her life, the tennis star turned towards her team to troll them for the defeat. “Of course last but not least I wanna thank my team for helping me lose another final,” she said.

Being wise enough to state their importance in her journey, the Australian Open champion was quick to mention that she was kidding. “I mean, they all know everything! I’m really a happy person to have you by my side,” she said, clarifying the respect she carries in her mind for the ones in her coaching team.

As the tennis star finally faced a defeat against Iga Swiatek, she cherished the runner-up position along with developing new hopes for the upcoming clay-court major.
