Starting 2025 as the undisputed World No. 1, Aryna Sabalenka is at the peak of her career. The Belarusian star landed in Australia recently to kick off her new season at the Brisbane International. Before stepping onto the court, Sabalenka made time for a relaxing day with her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis. The couple strolled through the scenic city streets on December 29 and later glammed up for a romantic date night. Sabalenka turned heads in an olive midi dress, accessorized with a Laura Piana wicker bag and an Audemars Piguet watch. But it wasn’t just her fashion choices that got fans talking.

Two sparkling rings on her left ring finger ignited a wave of speculation online. Could the reigning Australian Open champion be engaged? For three days, fans buzzed with excitement.

Finally, Sabalenka decided to address the rumors. She took to Instagram to share how she spent her New Year’s Eve celebrating with her trusted “Team Tiger.” In her post, she wrote, “Ending 2024 the way I spent most of it…with Team tiger

Once again, her rings made an appearance in the photos, reigniting the chatter. The comment section was flooded with questions, and one fan asked if she was engaged. Sabalenka put the speculation to rest by replying, “No guys, it’s just a beautiful ring, we are not engaged.”

Sabalenka and Georgios Frangulis first sparked dating rumors at the Madrid Open in April 2024. By May, the couple made their relationship Instagram-official, with Sabalenka sharing sweet moments from their time together. Since then, they’ve been spotted traveling to cities like Paris and enjoying life off the court like attending F1 races, giving fans glimpses into their relationship.

Frangulis, the founder of superfood brand Oakberry, has become a familiar face in Sabalenka’s player box during tournaments worldwide. Their relationship grew after Sabalenka experienced a challenging period in her personal life, marked by the tragic loss of her previous partner, Konstantin Koltsov.

In her post-match interview, Sabalenka reflected on how she recharged during the off-season. “I had some time off. I went back to Florida, slept in my bed, which was amazing. I was really tired from the hotels every week. Had some time off, but honestly, after such an intense season, I felt like I could rest for another month,” she said.

With her first match of the season behind her, Sabalenka now faces 15th seed Yulia Putintseva in the third round of the Brisbane International. As she steps onto the court again, will she add another title to her already impressive resume?
