Aryna Sabalenka is dancing her way into 2025 in style! She has already won a title at the Brisbane International and is aiming to defend her title at the AO. Can she win the ‘Melbourne Slam’ for the third consecutive year? Time will tell! However, she looks in a quite good mood at the moment. Recently, the Belarusian superstar was spotted bringing back her cheeky side in a hilarious dance session with her teammates at the AO.
Last year, we saw Aryna Sabalenka hopping on a viral TikTok trend and dancing to the tunes of the popular music artist Pitbull’s hit single, ‘Fireball.’ At that time, she was also joined by her team members, which included coach Anton Dubrov and performance coach Jason Stacey. Fans showered a lot of love on that video clip, and guess what? Even WTA star, Daria Saville also expressed her delight seeing that video clip. She commented on that post saying, “I love this so much.”
After that, in May 2024, we saw her dancing to the same tunes during the French Open. She literally choreographed the dance with the kids. Seems like she really loves dancing, but how does she rate her dancing skills, though? “I don’t know what else to do. I am a really bad dancer. I should come up with something new,” Sabalenka. It’s perhaps more like enjoying the moment and having fun with her teammates. Recently, the official IG page of the AO shared a video clip of her dancing moves.

Along with Sabalenka, Jason Stacy, and Anton Dubrov, we even saw Andrei Vasilevski joining in the fun. They were spotted dancing, laughing, and having a lot of fun on the court. “A team of many talents 🕺” read the caption of that hilarious video clip. Almost a month ago, Aryna was also seen dancing to the tunes of the famed ‘Ketchup Song’ at the Abu Dhabi GP with the Alpine FI team.
How important is it to have these little fun sessions amid a busy schedule? During a recent interview with Harper’s BAZAAR Australia, Aryna Sabalenka said, “It’s really important to have a balance because if you’re on the go all the time, it just can be really, really bad for you in the long term…There are times where it’s tournament after tournament, so I only have one day off, and then start everything from the beginning again. But if it’s [after] a big tournament … I have about four days just to chill, enjoy, relax, and recharge.“

What is her advice to all the other tennis players? “You have to be positive because it’s enough tension on court. If you’re gonna bring this tension off-court, it’s just too much. So for me, it’s the better way to kind of like loosen up and to keep it, I don’t know, mentally good, it’s just to have fun, of course,” said Aryna Sabalenka in another interview. She’s also very thankful to have a bunch of fun-loving people on her team.

In August 2024, during an interview with the Tennis Channel, Aryna Sabalenka recounted how she convinced her team to recreate a TikTok skit despite their constant pleas to avoid it. She said, “I really put them under so much pressure to do it. They were like ‘Oh my god, this is so stupid! It’s not funny,’ and I was like, ‘But it’s exactly us! We have to do this video.’” However, having said that, she also did mention how her team has been with her through thick and thin.
“I just realized that we’ve been through a lot with this group of people, and they never left me or doubted my success. They always believed in me, and they were always there and talking to me, making sure I’m all right,” said Sabalenka. Speaking on their role in her life and in her tennis career, she said, “I love you guys. Your support is everything. You are my family and I cannot imagine my tennis life and my personal life without you guys.” During the 2024 AO, we saw several fun moments featuring her fitness coach, Jason Stacy. Sabalenka was also spotted giving autographs on Stacy’s bald head. And it became a ritual during her matches at that time. What do her team members think about this light-hearted atmosphere in the team?
“I think it’s crucial. It’s an important key element to any performance, to development. As you guys know, it’s all year nonstop, just pressure, pressure, pressure, attention, attention, trying to get better, trying to get better,” said the fitness coach. Even Anton Dubrov highlighted, “If you understand, Aryna, she’s having fun, trying to have fun everywhere…but we’re also trying to keep it like a balance: Fun and discipline. She keeps working, she’s enjoying the process.” Now, with the 2025 AO knocking at the doors, it will be interesting to see if her team can yet again help her clinch her fourth Grand Slam title.
