An 18-year-old who was ranked 150th in the world before the beginning of the US Open came through qualifying and went on to win the Grand Slam in only her second appearance at a Major. She became the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam, and she did it without dropping a single set throughout the tournament, for good measure. Emma Raducanu gave the world the most incredible sporting story of 2021 and has been dominating the headlines across the world since.
