Unfortunately, we could not see Naomi Osaka at the Wimbledon Championships. Her Achilles injury had persisted even after the French Open. She had to bid the clay-court major early after the first round.
Although she tried to get back on the court after the French Open, her injury did not allow that. Now, Osaka is again training hard to be back on the court and for this, she has taken inspiration from her favorite anime characters.

Osaka gearing up for a strong comeback
Naomi Osaka took to her Instagram to show her arduous training. She uploaded her picture of running the first day after a halt. Along with that, she trained on a quick board. Moreover, she also uploaded pictures of her favorite anime characters from ‘Naruto’ and ‘Hunter Hunter’ training. She captioned the post, “Every great anime has an amazing training arc.”

She gave reference to these characters to depict her training and a strong comeback. The characters too underwent arduous training and came back 10 times stronger. The player is aiming for the same and winning titles in the second half of the year.
Will Naomi Osaka reign over the US Open?
Osaka did not have a great start to the year. The player has still not won a title, even though she has reached the finals of the Miami Open. Incumbent world no. 1, Iga Swiatek had defeated the Japanese player in the finals.

The player had missed Wimbledon because of her persisting Achilles’ injury. However, she had tried really hard to get on the grass-court major. She had tried underwater treadmill running but unfortunately; she had to go and recuperate from the injury.
Even if the Japanese player did not achieve the desired success this year, she still has a hard court season to fall onto. The player had won two Australian Open grand slam titles and two of the US Open tiles.
