Coco Gauff has recently found her return to form. After she won her first singles WTA 500 title, Gauff solidified her spot in the top 10. While not experiencing much success in her singles tour, her doubles tour has fared rather well. In the pre-tournament conference in Canada, Gauff revealed her doubles dream with her partner Jessica Pegula.
The two joined forces in the first quarter of 2022 and have been playing rather well since. After winning several tournaments and a consistent presence in the top 10, they have become the favorites for many doubles tournaments. If they keep playing as they currently are, Gauff’s dream may be realized next year.

Coco Gauff has found great momentum in her singles tour, and she would want to hold on to it rightly. The American player recently won the Washington Open to claim her fourth singles title. While a bit lacking in singles, her doubles tour with Jessica Pegula has found great momentum since they joined forces in 2022. Now with expectations touching the sky, Gauff revealed an Olympic expectation she has with her partner.
“One of my biggest dreams is to win a gold medal, uh, and frankly, I think one of the medal thing is like one of the things that it doesn’t matter what event is in, um, you know gold medal is a gold medal where I feel like, you know the grand slams is definitely way cooler to win a singles one than a doubles one“, she said in the Canadian Open pre-tournament press conference.
She finalized that this was her major dream when it came to her doubles tour for now.
“Yeah, I definitely; that’s probably my thinking that at least you know, through the Olympics, I want to try my best to stay ranked high enough so we can qualify.”
Gauff’s dreams might come true in amazing fashion as the two players are in the top three of doubles. Along with that, they have many achievements to their name.

The blazing duo of Gauff and Pegula
Gauff and Pegula made it difficult for many duos when they started their tour together. With two grand slam finals last year and three Masters titles in 2022 and 2023, they were able to achieve a rank of 3 in doubles. Just this year, the two reached two grand slam semifinals, won the Miami Open, and played in three Masters finals consecutively. Their stats are an indication of more titles to come in the future.
