Amid Injury Layoff, American WTA Star Receives Heart-Felt Message About Her Upcoming Nuptials From Compatriots Madison Keys and Jessica Pegula

Shelby Rogers is dealing with contrasting feelings. While she is dealing with ailments on the tennis court, she has made her first move in her love game with her partner, John Slavik. Although they have been dating since 2019, they are now ready to make a bold move in their relationship: the wedding.

However, she is finding it difficult to organize a flawless, stress-free wedding with her fiance due to her struggles with injuries. The American tennis player recently published an update about her recovery on social media, and many of her fellow American tennis players wished her a swift recovery and gave her the thumbs up to get on with the wedding preparations.

Fellow American players cheer up Shelby Rogers 

The 30-year-old American tennis player was last seen in action at Wimbledon when defending Elena Rybakina battled her in the first round itself. While the 49th-ranked tennis player in the world is currently out, she is dealing with one issue at a time. And recently, as she shared her July dump on Instagram, Rogers shared a real-time update on her life scenario.

She wrote, “July. One piece at a time. Been battling my injuries and working hard to see y’all back on court soon! Grateful for the friends and family around me that help me more than they know. Recognizing blessings in disguise. 💞Romans 12:12.” 

Along with this, she also shared a series of pictures, sharing the happy moments from this month. Starting with recovering from an injury while spending time with her loved ones. Looking at the beautiful post, her fellow American tennis players cheered her up in the comment section while getting excited about her wedding. Jessica Pegula commented with a sweet message saying, “More time for rest and wedding plans.” 

In addition, Madison Keys also shared her excitement to learn about her wedding plans. The 28-year-old tennis player wrote, “Can’t wait to hear about the wedding plans.”

While the 49th-ranked tennis player has not shared much of an update on her wedding plans, looking at the excitement of her tennis buddies, it won’t be wrong to say that she is all set to get married to the love of her life.

Nevertheless, the 30-year-old tennis player left her fans in awe with her beautiful proposal moments a few months ago.

Rogers’ dreamy wedding proposal 

The 2020 US Open quarter-finalist, back in April, shared a beautiful Instagram post sharing the lovely moment when her boyfriend, who is also an athlete, made a dreamy wedding proposal to her. Her boyfriend is an Ice Hockey player who played for the Indian Tech Warriors from 2014 to 2018 before getting into a relationship with the 30-year-old tennis player.

For the momentous occasion, the American tennis player wore a polka-dot outfit, and in those photos, her fiancé proposed to her by getting down on one knee. Although the two athletes kept their romance somewhat under wraps, their social media posts were obvious declarations of their love.

Aside from eagerly anticipating her return to tennis, her followers are also anticipating her enchanted nuptials.
