“No matter who you are or where you are, instinct tells you to go home,” is how philosophers portray a home. The fans’ favorite WTA star Coco Gauff could relate to this more than anyone in this world right now. While there was a time when she was experiencing heights of her form back in 2023, the 20-year-old seems to be in the opposite direction now. Amid the setbacks in Toronto and Cincinnati, the young champ finally received a moment to drive her attention out of the stressful situation.

Coco Gauff recently posted an Instagram story to wish her father, Corey Gauff, a happy birthday with a touching message and a picture of the two together. She wrote, “Happy birthday Dad!! I love you,” showing just how much she cares for her dad. Soon after that, her mother, Candi Gauff also added to the special day by posting a similar birthday message to her husband on her Instagram, as she wrote, “Happy birthday! I love you!” along with an adorable picture of her and Corey. This warm family moment not only highlighted the closeness of the Gauff family but also gave out what’s actually going on in the young champ’s mind.

The current US Open champion Coco Gauff continues to live with her parents in their family home even after attaining great success at a young age. Although everything seemed to be moving ahead swiftly, her recent performance at the Cincinnati Masters came out to be a major disappointment. The 20-year-old lost her opening match to World No. 34 Yulia Putintseva, with a final score of 6-4, 2-6, 6-4. The loss was a tough setback as she is currently preparing herself for the title defense at Flushing Meadows.

After the loss, Gauff analyzed her own form. “I feel like I have to work on consistency overall,” she said. The young champ decided to skip the press conference, but she shared her thoughts with the WTA Tour. Coco plans to take a break from the competition and spend time at home to reset and recharge. “I’ll probably go home and try to reset. Obviously, I have a lot coming up soon with the US Open, so I think just trying to reset and be ready for that,” she shared.

Coco’s performance in Cincinnati was not her best. She made 50 unforced errors, including nine double faults and therefore acknowledged that she needs to improve. Although she now has plans to be with her family, the statement has aroused curiosity about her decision to look for a separate residence.

Coco Gauff, the current US Open champion, recently revealed that she is looking to move out of her parents’ home and find a place of her own. The WTA pro has been living with her parents, Corey and Candi Gauff, despite her early success in the tennis world. Gauff shared her thoughts in an interview before her first-round match at this year’s Wimbledon Championships. She talked about how her parents have helped her maintain a sense of youthful innocence at home, especially during the time of her rapid growth in the world of tennis stardom.

“I was definitely still able to be a kid. I probably matured faster than a lot of people, but I think my parents did a good job of trying to make it as relaxed as possible, set up an environment where I could still be a kid, and surround me with people who respected that,” Gauff said.

However, she also revealed her latest plans to move out soon enough. Mentioning that she’s currently looking for a new place, the WTA pro insisted that she won’t be too far from her family. “Not for long though! I’ll still be in Delray, not far, just not at home. I’m in the process,” she added.

Gauff is currently in a chaotic situation of seeking momentum in the race for the US Open title. As she finally has a moment to spend some quality time with her family and ‘reset,’ who knows this could turn into something miraculous.
