In her official X (formerly Twitter) profile Keys confirmed not attending the debit Grand Slam event of 2024. She said- “Hi everyone… Unfortunately I’ve been struggling with a shoulder injury & have been advised by my medical staff to withdraw from the  @AustralianOpen this year. This obviously isn’t the best news to start the tennis season, but I also know I’m making the right choice for my body.

This tweet has surely made the fans concerned about her health. However, given that Madison Keys has been advised by the medical staff to refrain from attending the championship, it is probably in her best interest. After all, an injury needs to be cured before it starts to impact the performance, isn’t it?
