American tennis legend Chris Evert became a grandmother in May 2024 and she couldn’t be happier, as she congratulated her son Nicholas, and her daughter-in-law, Rebecca, for bringing this new member to their family. She posted a picture alongside the baby and his mother with the caption, “My son Nicky and his wife Rebecca welcomed their first child, Hayden James into this world last niteThanks for bringing more love into our family; so proud of you two.” The former World No. 1 has now shared another adorable glimpse of her grandson in her Instagram story.

In the video clip shared by Evert, the little kid can be seen enjoying his meal, with the food all over his face. Seems like little Hayden James Mill really loved that meal! In July 2024 as well, Evert shared a picture of her son Nicholas who was holding the baby in his arms. She captioned the picture, “My son and grandson… I am so lucky…❤️❤️❤️.” Later, in an interview with The New York Times, the former World No. 1 reflected on her relationship with little Hayden James Mill by saying, “I’m in love with this little baby already. It makes me want to live even more.”

In August 2024, Evert uploaded a few pictures of her grandson on her IG account, alongside his momma and grandpa. She captioned that picture, “We took Hayden out on the town…. mom, dad, grandma and grandpa !!! (Dad taking the picture) @reebz202 @mickynill @millhousepodcast.

Chris Evert married British tennis player, John Lloyd in 1979. However, the couple got divorced in 1987. A year later, she married American downhill skier, Andy Mill and they had three children together, but they eventually separated in 2006.

After that, Evet’s third marriage (with Australian golfer Greg Norman) could only last for 15 months. During an interview with Daily Mail in 2016, Chris Evert made a very interesting comment about her family life with her second husband, Andy Mill. What did she say?

Chris Evert reveals the “best part” of her relationship with her ex-husband Andy Mill

When Chris Evert was married to John Lloyd, she shed light on how she felt starting a family would likely impact her career plans. She made it clear if she decided to start a family, she would retire due to the difficulty of balancing motherhood with professional commitments. Even Lloyd echoed his then-wife’s sentiments saying, “I don’t want her to have a child and come back on the circuit. If she has nine months off, it’s much harder to come back then. And we would need a nanny to bring the baby around with us. That’s not the way to do it.”

However, Chris Evert and John Llyod eventually divorced in 1987 without having children together. Later, Evert gave birth to three sons – Alexander, Nicholas, and Colton Jack with her second husband Andy Mill, a former alpine ski racer. Recalling the quality family time with Mill, Evert once said, “I’ve had a three-part life and, for me, the best part by far was being married to Andy, having kids, and being a family. If I could do it over again, I’d have taken some time to really think about what was wrong and try to make it work.”

Evert revealed that she still shares a good relationship with Mill and they often spend time together as a family. The pictures of them alongside their grandson are probably perfect examples of it. With her grandson, Evert is indeed having the best time of her life.
