Lindsay Davenport’s journey as a mom hit a rough patch in August 2020. In an ATV (all-terrain vehicle) accident, her son was injured quite a bit. At the time, the young champ had to be transported to a trauma hospital through an airlift. The next five hours became a nail-biting emergency surgery. Fast forward to 2021, and Jagger Leach found himself back under the surgeon’s careful hands. This time for leg surgeries dealing with growth plate issues and the removal of plates and screws.

Tennis, the passion that once defined him, became a distant dream for three painstaking months. Amidst this turmoil, Lindsay Davenport, with palpable emotion, shared: “Long road! Super rewarding to see him at this level, so yes, Jon and I are super emotional!” These words encapsulated the essence of a mother’s heart.

It was very clear that Lindsay was completely tangled in the web of her son’s struggles. She further stated: “There were times he never thought he’d be able to play.” As the family clung to hope, witnessing their son’s triumphant return to the tennis court became a reality.
