This time, however, the blunder turned out to be a controversial one. She confused the nationality of the defending champion Elena Rybakina with that of Daria Kasatkina.
She stated, “Rybakina is a Russian, played for Russia.” Following this statement, things became even more bizarre as she mispronounced her adopted country. She stated, “Rybakina is a Russian, played for Russia, moved to Kasatkina.”?
